Admissions Counseling
Middle School Students
Establishing a relationship with students and families before high school helps to ensure a smooth transition from middle school into high school. College4Careers focuses on building solid scholastic skills while instilling time management practices that allow students to be both productive yet unstressed. We get to know student’s interests and passions so we can guide them into activities and volunteer opportunities that will not only strengthen those areas of interest but also help them create a future high school plan that includes classes and extracurriculars, like sports and clubs, that they will not only enjoy but excel in.
High School Students
When it comes to creating a high school plan, a one-size-fits-all approach that creates the same results for all students is a myth (although some well-meaning professionals might attempt to sell you that idea). Our priority at College4Careers is to allow our high school students to enjoy their four year journey without creating an atmosphere of stress and anxiety where they feel the experience is just a mad dash to a finish line where a college application awaits. Instead of squeezing every student into a preset mold, College4Careers creates a custom plan tailored to your student which gives them a chance to stand out in subjects and endeavors that make them happy and, in the end, creates a pretty likable college candidate that admissions counselors want to admit into their schools.

Freshman and Sophomore College Students
Colleges and universities have an amazing staff of professionals who work full-time advising and counseling current students, yet getting students to utilize these resources can be a challenge – especially if they are enjoying their experience living away from home for the first time. If you are one of the lucky ones who does have a student who meets with them, there are only a few counselors who serve the needs of sometimes thousands of students (you read that right), so how well can they get to know your student in that 30 minute meeting even if it takes place every year?
College4Careers doesn’t stop being your student’s partner when they finish high school because we know that the steps taken those first two years of college can mean the difference between keeping a scholarship, achieving a double major, getting into graduate school, or graduating on time. We help students choose classes, create a four (not a five or six) year graduation plan, explore major or minor options, plan for a study abroad, think about internships, graduate school, extended education opportunities, and more so they stay focused on the task at hand – a college diploma.
We have gotten to know your sons and daughters over the years and we understand their personalities as well as their strengths and weaknesses. We can work with them to create a collegiate experience that is enjoyable while also leading to graduation day and a profession in their chosen field of study.

Junior and Senior College Students
By now your student is at the halfway mark, their major(s) and minor are chosen, and they are embarking on the courses beyond the general education requirements. Now is the perfect time to start planning for what happens after graduation.
The steps taken the next two years can be critical in obtaining a career-based position right out of school. Most college campuses offer a wide array of career development opportunities and tools for students to utilize but it can be difficult for them to attend classes, keep up with assignments, stay current with extracurriculars, and then find time to plan for a future career. College4Careers knows that the best time to secure a post-graduation position is while you are still a student, so lining up opportunities for our students to pursue is our top goal during these years.
Thinking that you know what you want to do once you graduate is not the same as actually pursuing a position in that industry. College4Careers can research the tools available both on and off campus that are just right for your student’s needs and then point them in the right direction. We utilize career exploration tools, networking events, internship opportunities, study abroad options, graduate or professional school plans, mock interviews, professional etiquette skills, resume reviews, and more to get your student ready for what happens after graduation day.

College Graduates
Finally, the day has come to watch your student walk down the aisle, accept their diploma, and toss that cap in the air. They are not only college graduates they are now young adults who are ready to enter the job market. Some may have lined up a job already and some may need some help getting connected with a job in their chosen field.
This should be an exciting time in a young adults life, but the pressure to obtain a position in their field of study can be overwhelming so our goal is to break down the process into manageable steps that lead to a successful outcome without adding any additional stress or anxiety. College4Careers can assist graduates with creating a targeted resume, establishing a professional online presence, navigating job searches, creating networking opportunities, brushing up on interviewing skills, handling salary negotiations, drafting employment contracts, and more. We work together on devising outside-of-the-box strategies that get a young graduate noticed and hired so they can begin to pursue their careers and focus on what they want to achieve next.
After working in their respective industries, College4Careers continues to connect with our post-graduates to strengthen networking groups, research current industry trends, and find advancement opportunities so they are ready for promotions, entrepreneurial endeavors, or a smooth transition into a new industry if a career change is desired.
