College4Careers agrees with Money Magazine:
“Data Can Tell You A Lot. But Not Everything: There’s plenty we don’t know—or can’t accurately measure—about how colleges affect the lives of their students. But families today have access to more information about outcomes than ever before to help guide their decision.”
This annual issue of Money Magazine does a great job of using the data they gather to highlight interesting information about schools, their affordability, and the graduation outcomes a student can expect so it is well worth taking the time to look it over and discuss the findings as a family. Overall college rankings, whether it be from Money or other sources, can be a good tool to use for more information about schools that are on your radar or to find schools you may never have considered because they seemed too expensive, too far away, or too exclusive. What rankings cannot do is predict which schools will be the ideal fit for a particular student so consider using them as one of the many tools available to families for choosing a college or university today.
